I have both OpenFoam-6 and OpenFoam-v1812 installed on my computer.

A hexahedra mesh, about 13 million elements.

When I run checkMesh in v1812 environment, the process finished within few minute. But when run checkMesh in OpenFoam-6 environment, it stuck at stage shows below and never finish.

Checking topology...
Boundary definition OK.
Cell to face addressing OK.
Point usage OK.
Upper triangular ordering OK.
Face vertices OK.

Did anyone have the same issue? Can anyone explain the reason?

Thanks!!!

I found OF5 to be significantly slower with checkMesh than OF1806. I imagine their next iterations follow the same trend. It's just part of what's different between the softwares
