Hello everyone,

I am relatively new to openFoam and I am trying to mesh a wedge-shaped geometry with a bore at the center to examine jet mixing. For simplicity I have divided the geometry into 3 parts- the middle part has a higher refinement than the top and bottom parts.

However the problem I encounter is that the joints between the 3 part geometry doesn't snap very well using SHM. Can anyone please tell me what I could do here? Will a refinement box do in those regions?

Also checkMesh says the Mesh is ok, but I am a little apprehensive about setting up the case with this mesh.

Any help will be really appreciated.

I am attaching a link to folder with relevant screenshots

Hi. How good or bad are the results if you snap onto single/ entire geometry? Unlike the screenshots, the snappyHexMeshDict is for a single/ undivided geometry isn't it?
Have you tried tinkering with 'resolveFeatureAngle'? That usually does yield better 'corner' fitting, although broadly speaking SHM has its issues with sharp edges.
