Hello everyone,
I am currently working on an open channel flow problem (Check the case case.tgz). The problem is I am not sure if the boundary conditions mentioned are appropriate. The current setup (see attchment) seems to have convergence issues. I am pretty sure it is the boundary conditions. I have not tried experimenting with any discretisation yet. I think the Mesh is okay. The inflow at the inlet is not known, as a result some kind of pressure boundary condition should be used. However, I am not sure which BC applies in this case. There are two outlets in the domain. As the inflow rate is unknown, I am utilising the pressureInletVelocity for "U" and zeroGradient for "p_rgh" at the inlet. At the outlet, I am using zeroGradient for "U" and zeroGradient for "p_rgh". I have tried a lot of other combinations of boundary conditions, however, nothing seems to be working. The case can be downloaded from the link below : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1HR...-fL_eR-YGzjzdm |
