I am doing a simulation of transonic turbine using sonicFoam. I have given inlet boundary conditions in terms of Total Pressure and Total Temperature and waveTransmissive boundary condition for pressure at outlet. I am having periodic variation in my inlet velocity after convergence. I think that this is due to reflections of waves at inlet.
Anyone knows how to give waveTransmissive boundary condition at inlet along with TotalPressure? For inlet with static pressure, I think it can be given like inlet { type waveTransmissive; value uniform 80000; field p; gamma 1.4; phi phiv; rho rho; psi psi; lInf 0.05; fieldInf 80000; } |

Hi
I know this is a while back but were you able to use the waveTransmissive boundary at the inlet? If so would you be able to share it? Many thanks |

Hi,
Does anyone find a way how to use the WaveTransmissive BC on the inlet with the constant total pressure? I am apparently struggling with the same problem as discussed in the earlier posts. Thank you! |
