Hallo
I am new in the CFD community and also to OpenFoam. I would like to simulate a translationally motion of a solid body through two phases (water and air) due to a constant force acting at a fixed point on the body. The Force shall act as propulsion. The two phases shall initially have no motion. The domain shall move with the body and shall be open. In the first step the propulsion shall be only in on direction. In a second step the propulsion shall be in two directions moving the body in a circle. So for me it is important to move the body creating a current and not simulate the motion by having a fixed body with predefined current velocity. My idea is to use similar cases and modify in that way so I can use it for my specific geometry of the moved body. Currently I am using OpenFoam 5.0 from openfoam.org. I would be grateful for any kind of help. Thx a lot. Nautiker87 |
