Hi,
I have been simulating a channel flow using different RANS-models with an externally given inlet BC for the mean velocity by using timeVaryingMappedFixedValue. This works fine. Now I want to run a LES simulation on the same domain. I want to keep the inlet BC for the mean velocities, given by the external data, but I must get in some fluctuations in this inlet. Basically what I want is a combination of "timeVaryingMappedFixedValue" and "turbulentInlet", where I just add some fluctuations to the mean profile supplied by "timeVaryingMappedFixedValue". Does anybody know how this can be achieved? |

Hi,
For doing LES, that is much better to run the channel flow with a constant source term, pressure gradient, and then sample the results to your domain using timeVaryingMappedFixedValue. Ardalan |
