Hello everyone,
I’m trying to get into IB-simulations with foamExtend 3.2. I tried to do the movingCylinderInChannel tutorial but using my own surface mesh. While running potentialIbFoam, I generated a velocity field inside the new geometry (cf. screenshots with streamlines). The mesh was generated using ANSYS ICEM 16.0 and exported to a .stl-file. If I run surfaceConvert file.stl ibCylinder.ftr in FE, I generated a segmentation error. However, generating the .ftr-file works fine in openFoam. I have already tried coarser and finer meshes, and different geometries but the body always seems to be permeable. Everything except the triSurface mesh remained unchanged. Does anybody have an idea or can give me a clue? Thanks |
