Hallo Foamers,
i would like to simulate an inlet flow in a domain (cubic), which its boundaries (the six faces) should be at atmospheric pressure condition. My case is a little bit similar to the damBreak Case. My problem is, i don't know why is the p0 in the damBreak tutorial defined as the following: atmosphere { type totalPressure; p0 uniform 0; } shouldn't it be to 101325 Pa instead of 0 defined ? thanks in advance Cheers Louay |

it depends that your flow is whether incompressible or compressible. in incompressible flow, it is typical to use relative pressure so it is assigned zero. but for compressible absolute pressure should be placed
