Hi,
I'm working on a laminar single phase (liquid) flow with reactive sites on one of the block faces. Since I'm new to OpenFOAM, I'm not really sure which foam should I use to solve my problem. To be specific, it is a steady-state parallel plate mass transfer problem. I've used simpleFoam to solve the velocity field of my problem, and scalarTransportFoam to solve the transport part. However, the scalarTransportFoam doesn't have a source term, thus can not solve reactive flow. The reaction in my problem is rather simple. I just need to calculate the concentration profile for one species, which would be carried with the flow and be consumed at the reactive sites with given reaction rate. I'm now considering reactingTwoPhaseEulerFoam, but it seems to be a little more complicated than my problem, and I'm not sure if it is the right one to use. Is there any other option for my problem? I would appreciate any answer. Thank you |
