Hello, I'm new to OpenFoam and trying to solve the flow over a flat plate for already more than a week...
I want to calculate the compressible flow over a zero pressure gradient heated flat plate. I'm using the rhoCentralFoam solver and my boundary conditions are: velocity: fixed at inlet, no slip at wall, zero gradient for farfield and outlet pressure: fixed at inlet and outlet, zero gradient for farfield temperature: fixed at wall, fixed at farfield, zero gradient at inlet and outlet If I solve the problem without the heating of the flat plate I get a reasonable result for the hydrodynamic boundary layer. However, when I increase the plate temperature the results for the hydrodynamic BL are messed up and the temperature BL looks reasonable instead... Since flat plate flow is a standard problem I guess someone of you can help me Cheers! |
