Hey all,

is it somehow possible to derive boundary conditions from an internal observation within the mesh in OF?

just to specify my needs: i'm using a costom openform (2.2.) solver based on pimplFoam to derive wind-filds in complex alpine terrain to calculate snow drift.

now i want to veryfiy this model for one specific snowdirft event. i have some meteorological measurements of winddirection and speed and need a windfield which fits to this observations.

at the time i am using estimated groovyBC.

regards
schwam

i guess you want to map the whole internal domain , not just BCs, maybe manipulatedField in swak4Foam helps

I dont know what you exactly mean with "map the hole domain".

I want boundary conditions which result in specific wind-conditions at a certain point within my iternal mesh (where my meterological station(s) is/are located).

At the time i only extrapolate the wind conditions from my meteorology-stations to my boundary condition but since i have a complex high mounain terrain the wind produced by these conditions does not fit since the mountain ridges defelct the wind.
