Using block faces to define faceSets in topoSet?

Hello,
I have used blockMesh to create a mesh. I would like to use topoSet to sample flow rate through several internal faces of my mesh. I am wondering how best to do this as the faces are curved and are not oriented in such a way as to be easily captured with the boxToFace tool. I thought to use the patchToFace tool, but the faces are internal and therefore cannot be specified as patches in my blockMeshDict file. The faces are, however, faces of blocks defined in my blockMeshDict script. Therefore, I wonder if there is a way to define the faceSets for topoSet based on the location of the face vertices, which I know. I have many such faces to sample and am therefore looking for a tool that can be looped in a script. Also, can anyone give me an example of how the boundaryToFace or labelToFace tools would be implemented? What are "boundaries" or "labels" in this case and how do they work? Thank you very much for any advice! |
