Hi
I am looking to setup a simulation of an axial fan in a room, I want to set up the fan as an internal fan so I have a model with a cylinder the size of the fan inside a room. I am new to open foam can some one point me in the right direction , at this point as far as I understand it I can use rhopimplefoam for the solver? And interms of boundary condition for the fan I would have to use a cyclic boundary to link the inlet and outlet of the fan ? Or are there alternative methods of setting up a fan bc ? Also I found this (fanPressureFvPatchScalarField.H) but there is a lack of documentation would this work and how would I implement it ? |

Ok so I have done some digging around on the forum and found the TjunctionFan tutorial that uses cyclic bc to define a fan.
I found some parts of the config file that I dont understand, in the system folder there is a file topoSetDic. if some one has time could they clarify how the bc is applied to the two faces and what does the baffleFaces define ? |
