Hi, FOAMers
I need some advise for estimating turbulence length scale to calculate epsilon. I have searched cfd-online to find answers and found guide line about turbulence intensity. But, I couldn't find guide lines about turbulence length scale. I already read these links for turbulence free stream boundary conditions (http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Turbu...ary_conditions) for turbulence intensity (http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Turbulence_intensity) for turbulence length scale (http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Turbulent_length_scale) I'm trying to run LTSinterFoam to calculate hull resistance. turbulence model is standard k-epsilon. Simulation hull model is KCS hull of 1/58 scale. Re number is 1.7e7. well, I think tubulence intensity would be lower than 1% (may be 0.5%?). Now, to calculate epsilon, I need some advise for estimating turbulence length scale. I hope someone could give me an advise |
