Hello Foamers,
i am recently struggling with the mesh problems. I want to use toposetdict to generate a cathode, which is built with a cylinder and a cone . I have searched out the document inhttps://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/TopoSet, from which I can only find how to generate cylinder using cylinderToCell. Now I wonder if a cone shaped geometry is also possible using toposet.Any hints from you will be welcome. Thanks in advance. Peng |

Hi,
as far as I know that's currently not possible. I might be wrong though. The required functionality (coneToCell) can be implemented based on the cylinderToCell cell source with little effort. The code is located at .../src/meshTools/sets/cellSources/cylinderToCell. Hope that helps. Cutter |

Another thought - It seems like something swak4foam could do, although I have never tried.
If I search for "swak4foam swakTopoSource", this thread comes up. Looks like it may send you in the right direction as far as using swak4foam in the topoSetDict file. http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...variables.html |

Have you succeed in create a cone shape by using topoSet? If the answer is yes, would you share your method with me ? Thanks a lot! Big Orange |

Dear all,
I am curious whether anyone has been working on this since the last post. I am looking to create a conical cellzone, or more specifically, a cylinder on top of a cone |
