Hello,
I am having a bit of trouble with arriving at the values for k and epsilon for a problem.
The problem is a multiphase type, air and water (50-50) flowing at U = 1 m/s, across a 0.5m x 0.5m square closed channel over a length of 20m (i.e. inlet and outlet is separated by a 20m distance).
The problem is a 2D type so I've kept a front and back patch of empty type.
- How do I arrive at the turbulent length scale for this problem?
- Also, how do I calculate the values of k and epsilon at the walls and at the inlet/outlet?
I've referred to a lot of material on the web and on the books but I'm failing to understand how to arrive at l, k and epsilon for the inlet/outlet and the walls. Please help!
