Thank you for your attention. As I have seen in some videos, after making a mesh file, the Foam file can easily made by using "simpleFoam CFD Wizard" . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6dDw...H3WLHI1o1sxi7B I also used the ideaUnvToFloam, but there is Fatal error for converting that. Usage: ideasUnvToFoam [OPTIONS] <.unv file> options: -case <dir> specify alternate case directory, default is the cwd -dump dump boundary faces as boundaryFaces.obj (for debugging) -noFunctionObjects do not execute functionObjects -srcDoc display source code in browser -doc display application documentation in browser -help print the usage Using: OpenFOAM-2.3.0 (see www.OpenFOAM.org) Build: 2.3.0-f5222ca19ce6 --> FOAM FATAL ERROR: Wrong number of arguments, expected 1 found 0 FOAM exiting Thank you again specially for the links. Dear Javad,
i could not open youtube link, however it seems newbie in OpenFOAM i recommend you to read User-guide (at-least first chapter) before jump to solve your problem you face the error because you need to introduce your mesh file in .unv format in command line

hello javadrasooli,
As the video shows you get the simplefoam wizard with CAElinux. This is a whole package of programs including OpenFoam and Salome. You need first to make your geometry and mesh in Salome than save it as a .unv file Then you can follow the tutorial video. And I agree with nimasam read the user manual and do the first tutorials and try to understand what is happening in Linux. Hope this helps Wouter |

Hello Wouter,
Since your last reply I read the first tutorials, and still faced the same problem. Of course, I have made my mesh in Salome then import it as a .UNV format to OpenFoam. At the tutorial videos it seems to be easier, but it is really complicated. Any comments will be helpful. Thank you in Advance Javad Quote:

hello javadrasooli
Reading is not doing. If you do the simpleFoam tutorial then you do not need the simpleFoam CFD wizard, but it can help. hope this helps Wouter |
