Hi,
I am currently trying to simulate a single water droplet in air. How can I set up an internal symmetry BC? Is there another BC which sets the velocity perpendicular to the curved surface equal to zero? |

which solver do you use?
if you use interFoam to simulate droplet fall, as much as i know Un1=Un2 at interface, which n1 and n2 is interface normal vector, so you did not to apply any BC

Hi,
thx for your reply! I'm using the multiphaseInterFoam solver. My problem is unsteady with interphase transport of active scalars. For not getting to large and as a first attempt I tried to fix the droplet interface in space by setting all velocities perpendicular to the surface to zero to allow shear stress equality and movement within the droplet but having the droplet fixed and the surrounding gas streaming. Recommendations would be really appreciated! |
