Hello folks,
I'm simulating the 'jet in cross flow' in OpenFOAM using the icoFoam solver as a DNS solver with a fine mesh (7m cells) converted from a Fluent case file provided by my supervisor. I believe this use of icoFoam is valid, although please correct me if I'm wrong! However, my current issue lies with the boundary conditions. I have specified a Blasius inlet condition using timeVaryingMappedFixedValue and data from the Fluent profile. A line plot is shown below and the cases align well. However, when I try the same thing for the ceiling (there is a small velocity profile through the ceiling to allow for BL development) I get completely different results - see the line plot below. I've checked a few obvious things, same profile data, same line coordinates for the plot, etc. but I'm stumped as to why the ceiling profile is out by a factor of two. Thoughts? Thanks, Marty |
