Hi
I'm working on the evaluation of hydrodynamic forces on a vibrating cantilever beam. I'm using OpenFoam2.01 to simulate this problem. I'm working it out using pimpleDyMFoam with velocityComponentLaplacian solver for the mooving mesh, and it works just fine both for the 2D and the 3D cases. The problem is that I'm not able to see the internal 3D mesh in paraFoam in order to check its quality. When I make a slice of the domain I can see only a messy jumble of lines. Can anybody help me? Tanks Andrea. |

Dear foamers,
i have some questions on cantilever beam that is, 1.i draw cantilever beam in catia design software and make outer domain, inside that domain i mention wall as cantilever beam, out off 6 faces one is inlet another is outlet and remaining faces are symmetry these are my boundary conditions.the whole process done in gambit meshing software, then i import that mesh in openfoam,up to this level ok for me 2.after that what can i do,i am looking final output should be like BEAM moves ups and down, the flow should be incompressible laminar.how to solve in open foam ,please give me idea |
