That's fine but my question is why multiplied by alpha_eff to get the flux?
I am very curious to know about the heat flux calculation and implementation. |

Yes, It helps.
h = enthalpy (kg.m^2/s^2) per unit mass (H/m): m^2/s^2 grad(h): m/s^2 And if we multiply with alpha which is m^2/s, then it comes out to be m^3/s^3. Where do we go from here in openfoam? |

Not sure what you mean.
You can either run a heat transfer solver (bouyantSimpleFoam, rhoSimpleFoam or other) and study the results for various parameters. Or you can study the implementation. What do you want to do? |
