how to calculate flow properties along the first grid point near to the wall

Hi foamers
i am working on supersonicflow over a Backward facing step (using sonicFoam solver in 1.6). i want to validate the results. i have done analysis and compared the results but the results did not match that good. i have taken care of all the boundary conditions and mesh etc. i expect the problem could be meshing near the wall (i mean not properly capturing the turbulent effects near the wall). so finally i thought to calculate y plus near the wall. but the strange thing is i am unable to calculate the flow properties at the first grid point near the wall and even the distance between wall to the first grid point. so anyone help me to calculate the above Regards Ambilpur Kiran |

you can use yPlusLES and yPlusRAS depend on your turbulence model. this command calculate min, max and average y plus itself for every time step. Regards, Maysam |
