Hello,

When using the interFoam family of solvers (OpenFOAM v1.6) the liquid volume phase fraction alpha1 is printed at every time step. I was wondering if there is an easy routine to extract the phase fraction of a part of the domain.

For instance with binary droplet collision, is it possible to obtain the volume of a hypothetical satellite droplet after (head-on) collision?

edit: By the way, don't propose using the multiphaseInterFoam solver, since the computational results of this solver is fundamentally different from the interFoam solver ?due to? other interface compression schemes

Thanks
