I have finished a CFD run with openFOAM via the CFDOF workbench in Ondsel engineering suite (freecad core) but i closed the graphs before i could save them

however, i have the post processing force.dat file that was created. Is it possible to plot that data using excel? IE, somehow convert it to a csv?

i tried to use pyDATview to open the .dat file but it wouldnt. Usually pydatview works pretty well, but no this time.

this is a small snippet from the file i opened in notepad++

thanks for any help. I just want to plot it easily

well, that was interesting. I changed the file extension of force.dat to force.txt, and pydatview opens it right up and plots it all for me.. If you have never used that app, i highly suggest it.

here is a picture of the graph. Thanks and i hope this helps someone

However, i would still like to learn other ways of graphing, preferably in excel so i can get pretty colors. I know how to use excel, i would just need to know how to get the data over
