Hello everyone,

I use OpenFoam to perform LES automotive simulations. I've been using foSurfaceToSTL (using Surface function to perform extraction to STL after meshing) to be able to quickly have a look at the surface mesh without having to load the complete PolyMesh (which normally is +20Gb).

Lately I've been using the adjointOptimisationFoam but have been having some troubles postProcessing these. I tried to include the foSurfaceToSTL function on my controlDict as I normally do with my normal workflow (LES) but I'm not able to use this with the adjointOptimisationFoam, for some reason it ignores this part? (Same thing for my other functions that I include normally to calculate the forces, etc)

My intention would be to export the surface mesh (.stl) after each optimisation loop where the mesh is morphed (I use morphing box with defined CPs), instead of having to open the Polymesh (which is huge) to be able to have a look.

Could someone give me some tips if this would be possible, and if yes, how you'd go about implementing this?
