Greetings,


I tried post-processing for the cavity case using the OpenFOAM 11 utility command

"foamPostProcess -func CourantNo"

and encountered the following issues:

Executing functionObjects --> FOAM Warning: functionObjects::CourantNo - CourantNo cannot locate the required object "phi" of type "surfaceScalarField." --> FOAM Warning: functionObjects::CourantNo - CourantNo failed to execute.


I understand that OpenFOAM 11 requires "phi" to run the command, but I'm unable to execute the command similar to 'icoFoam -postProcess -func CourantNo'.

I also tried the other foamPostProcess command with the options

"foamPostProcess -solver icoFoam -func CourantNo -parallel"

but unfortunately, it did not yield the desired results.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Anybody have any thoughts on this, I have a very similar problem, but with the MachNo postProcess function.


Typically i've run, with previous OF versions,

rhoSimpleFoam -postProcess -func MachNo


But with v11 it moans, and says, rhoSimpleFoam has been superseded and replaced with foamRun


So I run,
foamPostProcess -func "MachNo"


It runs, but gives the error: functionObjects::MachNo MachNo failed to execute.




I've run "foamInfo MachNo" and copied the MachNo file into my system directory from;
1) /opt/openfoam11/etc/caseDicts/postProcessing/fields/MachNo


But this does not help. What am I missing?
