Case: Periodic Channel flow at Re_tau =1000
Method: Large-eddy simulation.
Version: OpenFOAM/v2206
Problem: The postChannel utility overpredicts the RMS velocity in the spanwise and wall-normal direction. Refinement and increasing expansion ratio did not improve the results, as shown in the figures.

Solution:

#To get the smooth profile, the columnAverage should be done first
postProcess -func columnAverage -latestTime >& log.columnAverage
postProcess -func sampleUMean -latestTime >& log.sampleUMean
postProcess -func sampleUPrime2Mean -latestTime >& log.sampleUPrime2Mean
