Hello,
After importing the OpenFOAM results into ParaView, selecting "File->save data" a "configure Wirter"-dialog-box comes out, giving 3 available opts: "Points" "Cells" "Field data" I assume, "Cells" refers to "Cell-Centers", "points", mesh-vertices, but does someone know what the "Field data" means? thank you in advance |

I think it corresponds to the variables such as p,p_rgh,U etc.

hi, TahsinG,
thanks for the reply. well, using the opt, "points" or "cells", the data of p and U are also saved, which could also be considered as data of "field". Actually in e.g. "cavity"-case, I tried to save using the opt "field data", but it generated an empty file, so I don't know that it is thanks |
