Hi all!
I want to split a wall boundary patch in two based on value of a computed flow variable (in my case wall shear stress). The reason I want to do this is that I want to apply different wall boundary condition at different part of the wall based on initial computations using the same wall BC all over. Anyone who knows how to do this? I thought it might be possible to do by first (1) use the sample utility applied on an initial simulation, with a threshold on the variable to identify the faces on the boundary that I want to apply an other BC on. And thereafter (2) use a combination of topoSet and createPatch to generate a new boundary patch. However, I don’t know if it is possible to apply a threshold in the sample utility... I also don’t know if the output from the sample utility can be used in combination with /as input to the topoSet utility. Has anybody tried to do this before? Any advice is most welcome:-) |
