Hello guys,

I am running a RANS simulation of a high speed train. In order to validate it with experimental data I would like to extract the pressure value on the surface of the train in specific points correspondent to the physical locations of the pressure sensors used during tests.

Is there a way to isolate pressure values on specific surface points?
I know I can use the probeLocations utility but maybe there's something more specific which allows the user to select a point right on the surface....With probeLocations the point I am afraid would be the one just on top of the surface...which is not the same exact point used in experimental tests..

Thanks a lot for your help,

Luca

You can use post process function nearWallFields to extract the pressure near the wall. Because the pressure boundary condition is usually zero gradient, so the pressure near the wall is a good representation of the pressure on the wall.
