Hello guys,
I am running a RANS simulation of a high speed train. In order to validate it with experimental data I would like to extract the pressure value on the surface of the train in specific points correspondent to the physical locations of the pressure sensors used during tests. Is there a way to isolate pressure values on specific surface points? I know I can use the probeLocations utility but maybe there's something more specific which allows the user to select a point right on the surface....With probeLocations the point I am afraid would be the one just on top of the surface...which is not the same exact point used in experimental tests.. Thanks a lot for your help, Luca |

You can use post process function nearWallFields to extract the pressure near the wall. Because the pressure boundary condition is usually zero gradient, so the pressure near the wall is a good representation of the pressure on the wall.
