Hey everyone, this is my first thread ever so if i am not respecting the norms of the forum please forgive me.
Currently i am trying to validate OpenFOAM LES model using a planar jet. I want to compute the jet half-width, longitudinal velocity profiles, etc and am wondering if any one can explain me how to do so. I have the cellcenter coordinates and the velocity fields for every time step of interest so i just want to write some code for OpenFOAM that, e.g. for the jet half width: 1- computes the cell and centerline velocity average; 2- compares the cell and centerline average velocities and in case it corresponds to 1/2 of the centerline velocity, that cell coordinates go to a matrix; 3- does this for every time step (every velocity field that is in my case directory); 4- Average of the yy positions over every time step for a given x position -END. Moreover, how can i extract the SGS turbulent viscosity? The paper that i am following for this work is the following: https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/a27...39a2c266c4.pdf (Available at: 06/01/2018). Thank you, PMarreiro Universidade de Lisboa |
