Hi,
I am trying a dynamic mesh problem with pimpleDyMFoam. To be more specific, my problem consists of a plate which is oscillating in a fluid while the plate is also deforming in a prescribed way. I have implemented the problem and is working perfectly. I am currently taking output for lift force but since I have a deforming boundary I need to output the power delivered to the plate by the surrounding fluid or vice versa. Equation for this is simply \int_{dS} t.v dS Where t is the traction vector and v is the velocity at each node position and dS is the deforming boundary wall (plate). I know there are functions like forceCoeffs for finding forces on a wall boundary but is there any functions for obtaining power on a wall from openfoam or if anyone has any idea how can I implement it? I'd really appreciate your response. |
