Hey everyone,
I would like to calculate the submerged volume of a floating body (in my case a body pitching around a hinge). It doesn't need to be at runtime. For me it would be enough to calculate it in its rest position at the beginning of the simulation. The reason why I want to do this is that the rest angle I obtain during a free decay test doesn't match the rest angle that I calculated before using the submerged volume I got from Wamit. Thats why I want to check now if the submerged volume is how its supposed to be. I would very much appreciate any help! Cheers, Mona |

Hello Mona,
Have you figured it out how to calculate the underwater volume or volume of some body in paraview or openfoam. I am having a DTC Hull and want to calculate the volume of the hull. |
