Computation of objective function in adjoint optimization

I have created a new objective function in the adjointShapeOptimizationFoam solver, that optimizes
the flow uniformity at the outlet. For a lot of the solutions I have found so far, parts of the outlet is getting blocked by the "porosity" alpha. Now, I would like to compute the value of the objective function for the optimized geometry. My question is whether the cells with high porosity (=alpha_max) still are part of the outlet or if they are discarded since they are not considered part of the flow domain anymore. |
