Dear Foamers,
I have used foamToTecplot360 plenty of times, but I have never been able to show the geometry in tecplot (I can load the flow-field and it shows the outline of the geometry). What I want to do is like with paraview: You open the flow and show some iso-surfaces and then load a specific patch - say like a backward facing step, so that you can see the turbulent structures behind it. Its this last bit of loading a specific patch in tecplot which I don't know how to do and without it, it makes the flow really hard to visualise! Ps. I want to use tecplot because in my opinion it produces much nicer iso-surfaces! Any help would be great! Thanks Jack |

Work around for this problem:
foamToTecplot360 foamToVTK load the surface you want into visit, then use the export to tecplot option. Then load the tecplot files from foamToTecplot and the exported surface (.tec file) Hope this helps others! Jack |
