Dear All,

When I do the temporal statistics in the stage of postprocessing, I can get the mean and r.m.s of velocity. But is it possible for me to save out the mean and r.m.s. also in the forms of files like U, p, and T and so on? Not just see the results in paraview. Does anyone know how to save them ? Thank you very much.

best regards,
h

Hi hz283,

Can you give a work-flow example?
And have you tried using the "Save Data" entry from the File menu?

Best regards,
Bruno

Hi wyldckat,

Thank you for your reply.

When I get the 3D fields of mean and r.m.s. velocities, I also would like to save out to get the files with the same format like the ones in the time folders, e.g. 0.01/U. Thank you very much.

Thank you.

Mmm... if you want the results to be in the same format as OpenFOAM, that's a bit more complicated, because ParaView is not able to save data in OpenFOAM's own data format.
In other words, you'll have to use OpenFOAM's own sampling functionalities, instead of ParaView's.

Have a look into the sampling function object and the sample utility. For example, here is some of the locations where you can find some more information:
Best regards,
Bruno
