Hello everyone,

the problems with the training material are my fault; actually, there is something wrong with the USBs on the laptop I used to sort out the training material.

I apologize for this, and I'm working on it right now, and as soon as things are fixed (sometime today), there will be a announcement.

No problem, sorry again for the error. We have re-named the directories as well, so that there are no problems with names when one downloads multiple archives. An update will follow soon.

Closing
Final Presentations & Download Instructions

Dear FOAMers,
Dear OFW7 attendees:

with this notification we want to thank you for a great 7th OpenFOAM® Workshop and officially close the event with
  • the book of abstracts having been updated,
  • the training material being complete and linked as well, and
  • the online program being up-to-date with all material (oral and poster presentation) we got up to the deadline last Friday.

Some question that might be left are answered below. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any further question: marschall@csi.tu-darmstadt.de.

How do I get the ISO Image of the OFW7 USB Stick?
Please visit the Extend Project's website on SourceForge and click on the ISO image to download. For a direct link click: http://sourceforge.net/projects/open...M-Workshop-07/

How do I get the Book-of-Abstracts?
Please download it from www.openfoamworkshop.org/2012/downloads.

How do I get the OFW7 Presentations?
All material (training and technical oral/poster presentations) of the 7th OpenFOAM Workshop are hosted permanently on www.openfoamworkshop.org/2012/downloads.

For downloading specific material you can either browse through the directory tree at www.openfoamworkshop.org/2012/downloads or through the online program (see the left menu bar on www.openfoamworkshop.org).

Please use the download script below (which is also available on the updated USB Stick)
Code:
#/bin/bash

update()
{
    wget --timestamping -r -nH --cut-dirs=2 --no-parent \
    --reject "index*","~files.lst*","~folder.tar*","*. ico" \
    -P ~/OpenFOAM-Workshop/OpenFOAM-7th-Workshop-2012/ \
    $1
}

update "http://www.openfoamworkshop.org/2012/downloads/Training/"
update "http://www.openfoamworkshop.org/2012/downloads/Workshop-Documents/"
IMPORTANT: Note that the server 'merida' has been used temorarily for the workshop. It will not hold the workshop material permanently, that is it will be shut-down in a couple of weeks.

Missed the deadline to submit your presentation?
Please send me over your slides (pdf) by mail: marschall@csi.tu-darmstadt.de. I will do bi-weekly an update. (Please note that e-mails with attachments larger than 20MB are dropped automatically by the system.)

---
Yours,
The Local OpenFOAM® Workshop Committee
Holger Marschall - ofw7@openfoamworkshop.org

The core team (Kathrin Kissling, Kerstin Schmitt, Tomislav Maric and me) want to thank you again for contributing to a great workshop!

I'm unable to access the OpenFOAM Workshop website. Is there a particular reason why it's offline?

Hello,

We are currently constructing a mirror of all workshops presentations and material under the openfoam-extend project on SourceForge.NET.

You can find a copy of the presentations, movies and training material right here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/open...OAM_Workshops/

We will also build a nice Web wrapping over this data, possibly using the original OFW websites HTML files.

This is still work in progress, so thank you for your patience.

Martin

Hello,

You will find a mirror of the OFW7 Workshop (Darmstadt 2012) website here:
http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...tadt/OFW7.html

Mirrors of the OFW1 (Zagreb 2006), OFW3 (Milan 2008) and OFW5 (Chalmers 2010) websites can be found here:
http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...1_2006_Zagreb/
http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n....php/Main_Page
http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...10_Gothenburg/

or from here:
http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...W7_Former.html

Mirror of the websites for OFW2 (Zagreb 2007), OFW4 (Montreal 2009) and OFW6 (PennState 2011) will be put online asap.

As I said earlier, this is work in progress, some fine-tuning is still needed here and there. Thank you for your patience.

  1. Read the previous post to yours and click on the first link.
  2. On the newly open page, you'll see on your left this link: Program & Material
  3. There you'll see all of the available links.

Hello,

All OpenFOAM Workshop websites are now mirrored under the openfoam-extend project over SourceForge.NET.

OFW1: Zagreb 2006: http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...W1_2006_Zagreb
OFW2: Zagreb 2007: http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...W2_2007_Zagreb
OFW3: Milan 2008: http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...FW3_2008_Milan
OFW4: Montreal 2009 : http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n..._2009_Montreal
OFW5: Gothenburg 2010 : http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...010_Gothenburg
OFW6: PennState 2011 : http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...2011_PennState
OFW7: Darmstadt 2012: http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...tadt/OFW7.html

You can access either one of these websites from this single page:
http://openfoam-extend.sourceforge.n...W7_Former.html

Finally, you will find a copy of all the presentations and training materials from these workshops right here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/open...OAM_Workshops/

Enjoy!

Removing "_full" from your link brings me to a non-404 page at least. Is this what you're looking for?

Fixed. You might have to flush your browser's cache to get the updated page.

If you ever encounter other problems with the workshop website mirrors on SF.Net, don't hesitate to send me a message. I am not a regular reader of the Forum messages, but I do check my Private Messages section a bit more often.

Regards,

Martin
