Dear OpenFOAM users,
SimScale, a young German software startup is offering a browser-based engineering platform www.simscale.de! Features We offer a rich set of simulation capabilities, along with an intuitive GUI for OpenFOAMŽ and different meshers, including snappyHexMesh. SimScale also gives you access to remote computing power so you don't need to buy or maintain hardware any more. On top of CFD with OpenFOAMŽ we also offer solid mechanics (for example static, dynamic, frequency and modal analysis). Sign up now After signing up you can immediately test the platform free of charge and evaluate whether it is the right simulation tool for you. For a quick start we have an introduction video on YouTube. The SimScale team is looking forward to your feedback! This offering is not approved or endorsed by OpenCFD Limited, the producer of the OpenFOAM software and owner of the OPENFOAMŽ and OpenCFDŽ trade marks. |

Our next webinar "Fluid flow analysis of valves with SimScale" is scheduled for Wednesday (Dec 11) 4pm CET.
We will demonstrate how the flow through valves and the pressure drop can be simulated using SimScale. There is going to be a Q&A session as well. Register now via our Webinar page |

You say that "The SimScale platform is made possible with the help of some great open source software codes." You then cite various open source codes:
http://simscale.de/_en/index.php?page=attributions Where can the public download the source code of SimScale? It would be nice to cite SimScale as a great open source software code. |

Hi abdullahkarimi,
SimScale is investing a lot of money and efforts to improve the solvers and provide a UI which makes it easy for everyone to use them. The way we are giving back to the community is not by publishing our codes or solvers, but by offering a free version of SimScale to everyone who prefers to use it over OpenFOAM. If you'd like to try it out, simply go to http://www.simscale.com, create a free account by clicking on "Sign Up" and start simulating. Johannes |
