OpenCFD is pleased to announce the release of OpenFOAM-v1906.

This release extends OpenFOAM-v1812 features across many areas of the code. The new functionality represents development sponsored by OpenCFDs customers, internally funded developments, and the integration of features and changes from the OpenFOAM community.


Among other developments it features:
- New adjoint shape optimisation capabilities,
- dry-run option for SnappyHexMesh,
- new relaxed patch regioning in SnappyHexMesh,
- new mixed-precision single/double precision running,
- new overset-enabled buoyant solver,
- new synthetic turbulence generation method for LES/DES



... and many other developments or improvements from OpenFOAM team or contributors.

OpenFOAM-v1906 can be downloaded as:

- source code
- precompiled Docker images for Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems
- MS windows cross-compiled native executable distribution
