Hi guys,
I created a 2D geometry using Gambit. I'll use the OpenFoam dsmc solver. I created the constant file with the dsmcProperties file. Also, i created the system file with the controlDict decomposeParDict dsmcInitializeDict fvSchemes fvSolution when i type in terminal gambitToFoam orifice.neu OpenFoam appears this message: /*---------------------------------------------------------------------------*\ | ========= | | | \\ / F ield | OpenFOAM: The Open Source CFD Toolbox | | \\ / O peration | Version: 2.0.1 | | \\ / A nd | Web: www.OpenFOAM.com | | \\/ M anipulation | | \*---------------------------------------------------------------------------*/ Build : 2.0.1-cce6c678443c Exec : gambitToFoam orifice.neu Date : Oct 19 2011 Time : 11:59:32 Host : ubuntu PID : 2346 Case : /home/spyros/OpenFOAM/spyros-2.0.1/run/tutorials/discreteMethods/dsmcFoam/orifice nProcs : 1 sigFpe : Enabling floating point exception trapping (FOAM_SIGFPE). fileModificationChecking : Monitoring run-time modified files using timeStampMaster allowSystemOperations : Disallowing user-supplied system call operations // * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * // Create time Title: default_id10108 Written by Gambit version 2.4.6 number of points: 1581 number of cells: 1500 number of patches: 1 Reading nodal coordinates Reading cells Reading cell streams Reading cell stream labels Finished reading cell stream labels Reading patches patch 0: name: wall Finished lexing #0 Foam::error:rintStack(Foam::Ostream&) in "/opt/openfoam201/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" #1 Foam::sigSegv::sigHandler(int) in "/opt/openfoam201/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/lib/libOpenFOAM.so" #2 in "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6" #3 in "/opt/openfoam201/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/bin/gambitToFoam" #4 __libc_start_main in "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6" #5 in "/opt/openfoam201/platforms/linux64GccDPOpt/bin/gambitToFoam" Segmentation fault Where is the problem?? When I use GAMBIT for 2D meshes I always export the mesh in .msh format, check the box that it is a 2d mesh and export. If the case is set up, all you have to do is use fluentMeshToFoam and its imported if all is defined properly.
