I can't seem to get any effect out of using decomposeParDict->parMetisCoeffs->processorWeights values when running snappyhexmesh in parallel. I haven't tried running serial though.

At least in parallel sHM seems to always balance to equal cell count per process, and totally ignore the processorWeights values.

Does anyone know if this is supposed to work?
If so, what might be my problem? parMetis use?

At least to my knowledge, sHM doesn't do any balancing itself, but uses third-party (parMetis) for it, so the problem probably isn't with sHM itself?

edit: using openfoam 1.7.x
