Hello forsumit,
I try this with fluentMeshToFoam, but I find this mistake:
Create time

Found unknown block3010
Embedded blocks in comment or unknown: (
Found end of section in unknown
Embedded blocks in comment or unknown:

Found end of section in unknown:

...

The terminal is not responding.
The mesh is made in Tgrid how a .msh file, I not know if that affects.
I want to use pisoFoam and I create a directory case, with their respective subdirectories 0, constant and system. At 0 directory I paste the files from the tutorials pisofoam (epsilon, k, nut, nuTilda, p,R,U), at constant directory I created a directory called polymesh, and I copy system files pisoFoam (controlDict, fvSchemes, fvSolution). First I want see the mesh and convert it to openFoam, then I will change the parameters for my case. I don't know if I have to do something before to convert the mesh as a boundary file.

Thanks!

hi bego,

Can you tell me the format you r getting after exporting in TGrig. fluentMeshToFoam works only for .msh files and .cas files format. If you are getting .msh format you can easily convert fluentMeshToFoam.

hi naveen,
The Tgrid file is .msh. I have fluent file, but this not have extension, this is in ASCII format, I have to put the extension.msh?
FluentTomesh putting in the terminal, after giving the error waits, I can not add a new order.

Can you post the mesh here? Or perhaps a simpler test-mesh that behaves the same?

hi bego,

If u r using 1.6 go to that folder where you have kept the mesh file and type in the terminal fluentMeshToFoam extension.msh.

Hi naveen
I make this, I copy the Tgrid file into the polymesh directory, because in other directory I had a mistake, and I have now this other mistake:
fluentMeshToFoam: file "extension.msh" not found

From function fluentToFoam::main(int argc, char *argv[])
in file fluentMeshToFoam.L at line 895.

FOAM exiting

Do you think that I have every directories that I need to run fluentMeshToFoam?
Why the fluent mesh file not have an extension if I write it in ASCII?

Hi naveen,
If I put fluent file (without extension) in polymesh directory, I have the next error:

Create time

: file "extension.msh" not found

From function fluent3DMeshToFoam
in file fluent3DMeshToFoam.L at line 810.

FOAM exiting

hi bego,

Dont copy the TGrid file into the polymesh folder

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1) create a new case where ever u want, it should contain 3 folders like 0, constant and system folders.

2) place the TGrid mesh file into that directory (not in polymesh) .

3) now that directory should contain 4 folders like 0,constant, system and your mesh file.

4) now go to that directory where u hav created the through terminal and type fluentMeshToFoam extension.msh (extension means name of ur mesh file).

Still you are facing problem in conversion, send me your mesh file to my email id (naveenmtech07@gmail.com) . I wil convert that into OpenFOAM format and get back to u with full content.
