Hi to all,
i am trying to use a mesh generated with Ansys ICEM to convert to an OF 1.6 mesh. I exported the mesh in ICEM as a fluent_V6 mesh. Then i tried to use fluentMeshtoFoam to read this mesh, but it did not work. I got the following massage: reate time Dimension of grid: 3 Number of points: 130298 Reading points Number of cells: 703032 Other readCellGroupData: 13 1 aba38 1 2 Reading uniform cells number of faces: 1429472 Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Reading uniform faces Read zone1:19 name:CREATED_MATERIAL_16 patchTypeID:fluid Reading zone data Read zone1:20 name:int_CREATED_MATERIAL_16 patchTypeID:interior Reading zone data Read zone1:21 name:ZYL patchTypeID:wall /WANDReading zone data Read zone1:22 name:BECKEN patchTypeID:wall /OBERReading zone data Read zone1:23 name:BECKEN patchTypeID:wall /RANDReading zone data Read zone1:24 name:TOR patchTypeID:wall Reading zone data Read zone1:25 name:FENSTER patchTypeID:wall /VORNE/UNTENReading zone data Read zone1:26 name:FENSTER patchTypeID:wall /VORNE/OBENReading zone data Read zone1:27 name:FENSTER patchTypeID:wall /SEITE/OBENReading zone data Read zone1:28 name:FENSTER patchTypeID:wall /SEITE/UNTENReading zone data Read zone1:29 name:VENTI patchTypeID:wall / Attempt to get back from bad stream file: IStringStream.sourceFile at line 0. I don't have Fluent format myself, but I think that fluent3DMeshToFoam might be what you want to be using.

Hi to everybody again,
i managed to convert a very simple net. But i still have a problem. The problem is an easy box with a cylindrical hole inside. When i watch this area with paraFoam it appears that my cylindrical hole is rectangular. And the boundaries are converted incorrectly. Does anybody has a guess about this problem? Thanks a lot |
