Hi,
When I do
fluentMeshToFoam . cyl cylin.msh
I get this message at the end:

Default patch type set to empty
Checking mesh
Writing mesh
Only one cell group: no set written

End

where cylin.msh is a 2-D mesh, exported from Gambit for Fluent 5/6, and cyl is the icoFoam cavity case copied under a new directory.
I have tried a simple 3-D block as well, with no avail.
On the other hand, I've been able to do foamMeshToFluent successfully. However, the resulting .msh file is only recognized in Fluent and cannot be imported to Gambit. Please note that I don't want to export Foam mesh to Gambit, I only mentioned this, since it could help to find a remedy to the first issue.

I have searched the forums and haven't been able to locate an answer. Any advice is appreciated.

Kian

Hi Kian!

Your mesh has been written, so you can use it. "Only one cell group: no set written " means that in Gambit you 'only' defined one fluid zone and therefor no additional information was written. (You only need the additonal fluid zones for special applications)
