Hi,
I have imported a mesh from Fluent to OpenFoam mesh is converted sucessfully but after i apply boundry conditions and run it i am getting following error even if the Courant Number is very small Can anyone help me in this matter: Time = 2.53e-06 Courant Number mean: 0.00019371 max: 0.0119133 diagonal: Solving for rho, Initial residual = 0, Final residual = 0, No Iterations 0 DILUPBiCG: Solving for Ux, Initial residual = 0.000946563, Final residual = 1.76591e-10, No Iterations 1 DILUPBiCG: Solving for Uy, Initial residual = 0.00203507, Final residual = 2.71693e-10, No Iterations 1 DILUPBiCG: Solving for Uz, Initial residual = 0.000729181, Final residual = 2.00435e-10, No Iterations 1 DILUPBiCG: Solving for h, Initial residual = 0.000308165, Final residual = 5.5886e-10, No Iterations 1 Maximum number of iterations exceeded#0 Foam::error::printStack(Foam:stream&) in "/home/user/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so" #1 Foam::error::abort() in "/home/user/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libOpenFOAM.so" #2 Foam::hThermo<foam::puremixture<foam::consttranspo rt<foam::speciethermo<foam::hc onstthermo<foam::perfectgas> > > > >::calculate() in "/home/user/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libbasicThermophysicalMode ls.so" #3 Foam::hThermo<foam::puremixture<foam::consttranspo rt<foam::speciethermo<foam::hc onstthermo<foam::perfectgas> > > > >::correct() in "/home/user/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/lib/linux64GccDPOpt/libbasicThermophysicalMode ls.so" #4 main in "/home/user/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/sonicTurbFoam " #5 __libc_start_main in "/lib64/libc.so.6" #6 Foam::regIOobject::readIfModified() in "/home/user/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.5/applications/bin/linux64GccDPOpt/sonicTurbFoam " From function specieThermo<thermo>::T(scalar f, scalar T0, scalar (specieThermo<thermo>::*F)(const scalar) const, scalar (specieThermo<thermo>::*dFdT)(const scalar) const) const in file /home/dm2/henry/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-dev/src/thermophysicalModels/specie/lnInclude/ specieThermoI.H at line 78. Have you scaled your mesh while importing it from fluent?
check wiki on how to scale: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Fluent3DMeshToFoam Courant number is dependent on dt and dx. So my guess is tweaking one of them will bring the courant number to desired level. dx can be tweaked while importing the mesh fluent3DMeshtoFoam fluent.msh -scale 0.001 dt can be tweaked in system/controlDict file deltaT |
