No worries. Follow the instructions step by step.
1. While saving the case file in fluent , i.e.the .msh file from gambit after importing it "UNCHECK" the binary option in the dialog box that ask you to name the File. 2. Make a new work directory and put this file in that work directory. Keep the constant, system and 0 directory in the same work folder. Then use the utility FluentmeshToFoam filename.msh 3. It writes a new file for you. The boundary folder inside polymesh will describe all the boundary name that u set in FLUENT... 4. Follow the instructions in 5.5.1 in user guide OPENFOAM as well. Let me know the result. |

Hello Naveen,
I would request/recommend you to spend some time to read the user guide, wiki, forums and tutorials carefully (twice if required), before jumping and posting(rather SPAMMING different boards with same/similar messages) Here are some links to start with: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Main_Tutorials another self-explainatory slide by slide link(but in german and for OF-1.2. You can use http://dict.leo.org or google translate to help yourself) http://openfoamwiki.net/images/5/53/...ial_german.zip and ofcourse dont forget User guide http://foam.sourceforge.net/doc/Guides-a4/UserGuide.pdf Spamming on such large scales is definately not earning you a good reputation and thereby reducing your chances of getting a reply. Please dont feel offended. |
