sshyu is on a distinguished road
In UserGuide p. 142, there are some descriptions about the local coordinate. It also refers to the Programer's Guide. According to User Guide, it seems that this local coordinate might not be a Cartesian coordinate if the edge from vertex 0 to 1 and that from 1 to 2 are not orthogonal. Am I missing something?
