Hello Fredric
OpenFOAM has its own simple mesh generator, blockMesh, and a range of utilities of mesh manipulation, see: http://www.opencfd.co.uk/openfoam/in...meshGeneration and http://www.opencfd.co.uk/openfoam/in...shManipulation If you however find blockMesh a bit too timeconsuming to use (as myself), there are quite a few mesh converters included in OpenFoam, see: http://www.opencfd.co.uk/openfoam/in...meshConversion There is one converter missing on the list: netgenNeutralToFoam It is my impression that for those who don't have access to ay commercial mesher, Netgen(http://www.hpfem.jku.at/netgen/index.../download.html), tetgen(http://tetgen.berlios.de/) or Gmsh(http://www.geuz.org/gmsh/) is most used. Personally I only have experience with Netgen. The good thing about Netgen is that you can import *.step files from 3D CAD programs. Lars |
