This is a reminder to anyone working in the area of OpenFOAM mesh generation, moving mesh or any other related meshing tasks. If they would

bstract on their work is the 31st March 2008.

Hi Andrew,

I am preparing an abstract on high quality grid generation for OpenFOAM.
Should I send it to you or somebody else?

Hello All,
Just I am trying to work with OpenFoam and appears problem with internal wall.
I used Centaur export mesh to fluent cas and convert this mesh in to OpenFOAM.
Unfortunately , I lost a info subject internal wall.
I believe that is some method for create a mesh included internal wall for OpenFOAM.
I open for any suggestion, what kind of free tools should I use for proper mesh generating.

I would like to setup a pressure wall drop on this internal wall

before conversion into OpenFOAM

after conversion

P.S. I am a fresh OpenFOAM user and I am open for cooperation with OpenFOAM expert.

Thanks and regards,

Joe

mturcios777 will become famous soon enough
Do a search for threads about baffles, internal/zero thickness walls, and the createBaffles and mergeOrSplitBaffles utilities. That should give you a good start.

In a nutshell, you'll need to select the faces that used to be part of the internal wall and turn them into baffles.

On a side note, please include screenshots or sketches in the future; the ASCII drawing you made is very difficult to see what you want, and the formatting on different browsers can cause it to appear distorted/different than you want.
