Hi all,

I need some advice.
I converted a mesh into Foam (by ansysToFOam), and to get the boundary surfaces, I did autoPatch.
It worked, and generated 36 patches.
But my problem is one of them (auto20) is not what I expected:
the patch is "glued to" another "patch".
So, to summerize, I need to split auto20 into auto20a and auto20b.

Thanks to the boudary file, I just know the number of faces that the patch auto20 contains (and its startedface), but I do not have any informations (label) about faces that
auto20a and auto20b have to contain!

How can I deal with it?

Thanks in advance,

Lam

Hi Dragos,

Thanks to replying so quickly.
But, I try to run PatchToolServer

runPatchToolServer ../. cavityApply0
or
PatchToolServer ../. cavityApply0

do not work:

Exec : PatchToolServer /home/pham/OpenFOAM/pham-1.3/run/tutorials/icoFoam/ cavityApply0
Date : May 11 2007
Time : 10:28:28
Host : linux
PID : 8279
Root : /home/pham/OpenFOAM/pham-1.3/run/tutorials/icoFoam/
Case : cavityApply0
Nprocs : 1
Bind under:"PatchToolServer"
PatchToolServer running.....

And I wait and wait, nothing happens.

PatchToolServer seems very helpful to my problem though...

Thanks again,

Lam
